I have been working with drupal since 2007 and I am astonished by all the possibilities of the open cms, all the modules and themes. Last year I started working on my own theme, based on bluemarine. It is a three column website with a heading, a sub-heading with three columns, then the 'main content area' with two sidebars, with a special view above the two sidebars. Underneath the page there is a three column area again, followed by a footer-area.

The reason I created so many areas is that I wanted to add a screencast-like tool in the region above the two sidebars, where the instructions can be given (embedded from blip.tv e.g.), but since I am building and maintaining it all by myself, I was wondering if there are similar projects on creating the best theme for educational purposes.

You can have a look at http://cafedelaslenguas.com/. I am going to update and redesign the entire website, because I want to make a fresh new start after the data I 've collected about usability. Because, this was the case, people didn't find it that easy to work with - although it worked perfectly fine for me... ;)

Does anyone have any suggestions about the 'perfect' theme for educational purposes? I can send the theme-files to discuss things further together?
