The Drupal Kata is a new project learning program that intends to provide apprentices with opportunities to become proficient, contribute back to the community, and retain the skills for gainful employment in the field of their choice.

Goals

• Provide hands on training in areas ranging from site planning, drafting proposals, project management, information architecture, development, design, infrastructure, to Drupal workflows and community.
• Create a bridge between sprints, camps, and conferences.
• Increase collaboration & relationships between users and stakeholders with similar goals (join forces in collaboratively generating the resources necessary to push this work forward)
• Increased collaboration & relationships between developers working on similar projects (more unity, opportunity through code sprints to integrate various patches/functionality we've got locked up on individual sites, clearer vision for moving forward)
